Obituary for David Morgan
David Gilbert Morgan passed away peacefully at the Moose Jaw Union Hospital on July 28, 2011. Gilbert was born on Sept 28, 1926 in Old Wives, SK. He was an avid farmer in the Old Wives District and more recently had also become part of the community in Willowdale Court. He was a member of the Old Wives Community Club and was an active leader for many years in the Old Wives 4H Club. He truly valued and enjoyed farming life, taking pride in livestock and crops, which continued through his retirement. Gilbert enjoyed a cribbage game and a visit anytime. He valued time spent with family, friends and neighbours. Gilbert was predeceased by his wife Shirley, his parents Emma and Sydney, brothers Bill, John, “Shorty” (Glyn), and sisters Eunice and Annie. He leaves to mourn his passing, daughters Connie, Susan, Dianne (Don Tremblay), and grandchildren Mallory, Robyn (Scott Ayars), Robert, Justin, Ashley, Caitlin, Jordan, sisters and brothers-in-law Eva Morgan, Leonne Morgan, Vera Morgan, Jim Hall, Hap Hantelmann (Norma), and several nieces and nephews. The family would like to express their heartfelt appreciation of the professional and compassionate care provided by the ICU staff. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to either the Moose Jaw Health Foundation, 455 Fairford St. E., Moose Jaw, SK. S6H 1H3 or to Hospitals of Regina Foundation, PO Box 1697, Regina, SK, S4P 3C6.
